Administrator of NASA will join SATELLITE 2016 as Keynote Speaker

Rockville, MD. – Friday, January 29, 2016 – NASA Administrator Charles F. Bolden Jr. will deliver a keynote speech at the SATELLITE 2016 Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday, March 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Gaylord National Convention Center. Mr. Bolden is the highest-ranking official at NASA and a key figure in the evolution of commercial aerospace industry and research. Under his leadership, NASA has invested heavily into the development of the world’s most cutting edge satellite technology and has recaptured the public’s attention and excitement for space exploration. The agency’s support of commercial space transportation systems for reaching low-Earth orbit have enabled successful commercial cargo resupply of the space station and significant progress toward returning the capability for American companies to launch astronauts from U.S. soil by 2017.
Mr. Bolden’s keynote address is part of the SATELLITE 2016 Government & Military forum program, which is organized in partnership with the Satellite Industry Association (SIA), and will be followed by our 3:45 p.m. launch services conference session, featuring the executive leadership of the world’s largest launch service providers.
